Mariah moved to Silver City five years ago from Madison, WI where she was a teacher. Her aunt is a prolific watercolorist and introduced Mariah to painting. Her work is full of vibrant color. She is currently working on her masters degree at NMSU when she's not running the gallery. Mariah's Copper Quail is currently home to four clay artists- Martyn Apley, Phoebe Lawrence, and Jude Wasechek. The gallery is located on the corner of Texas and Yankie.
