During the summer of 2018 day campers in the MRAC Youth Murals program created a new sign for the Public Library of Silver City, as well as finished the mural on the outer wall that wraps around the building. The day campers created the mural beginning with drawings and then created and installed the tiles. The campers were treated to a visit to Syzygy Tile and a workshop with master potter and Clay Trail artist Romaine Begay.
The MRAC Youth Murals day campers spent about two weeks finishing the tile mural at The Public Library of Silver City. (Summer 2018)

Day campers from six schools in Grant County participated in the creation of the mural at The Public Library of Silver City.
After the day campers drew their tiles, they constructed and glazed them.
The MRAC Youth Mural day campers constructed the tiles at the teaching space above Leyba & Ingalls Arts, then later installed them at the library.
The day campers did more than just make tiles. They learned how to make pinch pots, too.
The MRAC Youth Mural day campers installed and grouted all of the tiles for the project.
Each of the day campers made their own tile for the Library project. The water drops were part of another mural project that is located in Big Ditch Park.
